Focusing on solution-based skills for a problem-based world
HEALTH ADVISOR    EDUCATOR    PUBLIC SPEAKER
With a prior career in emergency medicine, time collaborating with the Centers For Disease Control (CDC), and proven educational excellence (Kansas First Year Teacher of the Year), Dr. Jenson offers expertise in the following areas:
Public Health and Wellness
As the world continues to become more complex, so do the personal and public health issues that challenge us. COVID-19 has become a daunting challenge for every business and school in America. Additionally, there is little time for personal wellness, and our society is in the midst of a vaping epidemic and opioid crisis. Finally, overwhelming data demonstrates accelerated rates of burnout and profound changes in young adults from social media. Prevention and intervention strategies are explored in depth for each of these issues.

Resilience & Mental Health
Over the last decade, health care and educational institutions have witnessed first hand a dramatic rise in anxiety disorder, depression, and suicide attempts. This well established and worrisome trend founds the basis for the following questions:
  • Does the upcoming generation of American graduates lack resiliency?
  • What is fueling the tragic rise in suicide in all age groups?
  • What are practical and meaningful solutions to empower young adults and avoid bad outcomes?

Educational Redesign
Exhaustive data demonstrates that despite high test scores and academic accolades, young adults are lacking critical skills in the work place. The ability to lead, communicate, problem solve, adapt, and implement has never been more important than in the "Google aged world". It is reasonable to think that our mechanism of instruction and how we use content in the classroom needs to change in order to meet demands of future graduates.

Let's develop young adults by allowing them to practice in the same way the world needs them to perform!
