Description: "Business as usual” is NOT working in education. Growing community expectations of schools, in the face of poor educator retention, place many districts in worrisome situations. Impactful changes are needed immediately. It was an honor to partner with Carson Middle School (Fountain Fort Carson) regarding the design and implementation of an embedded operation that led to the following metrics of success: i) dramatic increase in student skill proficiency with 16 out of 16 Colorado Essential Skills ii) a 43.7% risk reduction in students with abnormally low self-esteem iii) and a career saving experience for teachers, leading to 100% staff retention for staff involved in the new operation. The research and outcomes will be presented at a key session for the CASE summer convention.
